Based on Alice Feeney’s novel, this Netflix series follows reporter Anna Andrews (Tessa Thompson), who investigates a small town murder. When she learns detective Jack Harper (Jon Bernthal), also her ex, is on the case too, things take a turn.

02 of 18: ‘We Meet on Vacation’ (Jan. 9)

The first of Emily Henry’s bestselling novels to hit screens follows Alex (Tom Blyth) and Poppy (Emily Bader), two friends who once had a yearly tradition to go on vacations together. After a falling out, they don’t speak for years, until Poppy calls Alex to join her on another trip. Check it out on Netflix.

03 of 18: ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ (Jan. 15)

Based on Agatha Christie’s thrilling mystery, the upcoming Netflix series of the same name is a detective story about a sleuth who investigates a prank gone tragically wrong. It stars Mia McKenna-Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter, Martin Freeman and more.

Saltburn director Emerald Fennell puts her own spin on Emily Brontë’s gothic classic, following the tumultuous relationship between Catherine Earnshaw (Margot Robbie) and Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi). If that weren’t enticing enough, Charli xcx is also set to score the film.

07 of 18: ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ (Feb. 20)

The Jennifer Garner-led Apple TV+ series, based on Laura Dave’s novel of the same name returns for its second season this year. The latest installment sees Hannah (Garner) and her stepdaughter (Angourie Rice) navigating new family dynamics when Hannah’s husband Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) returns. It’s also developed from Dave’s sequel to The Last Thing He Told Me, called The First Time I Saw Him.

08 of 18: ‘Outlander’ (March 6)

The final season of the beloved Starz series pulls from author Diana Gabaldon’s novel Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone. Both center on Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitríona Balfe) during the American Revolution.

Colleen Hoover’s novel will soon come to life in a film starring Maika Monroe as Kenna, a woman who returns to her hometown after a prison sentence. The cast also features Tyriq Withers, Lauren Graham and Lainey Wilson.

The Owens sisters are back! The beloved movie Practical Magic, about sibling witches Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gilly (Nicole Kidman), is getting its long-awaited sequel, based on author Alice Hoffman’s novel The Book of Magic.

The second of Hoover’s books coming to the screen this year follows Lowen, a ghostwriter who takes a job to finish the book series of famed author Verity Crawford. While going through Verity’s work, however, she uncovers a chilling discovery. The film stars Dakota Johnson as Lowen and Anne Hathaway as Verity.
