Ms. Fuseina Fuseini, the 2024 National Overall Best Teacher, has emerged as a beacon of hope and inspiration for early childhood education in Kete-Krachi. As an educator from the SDA Basic School in Madina, Greater Accra Region, her contributions have significantly impacted the educational landscape in the area. Her dedication to teaching and commitment to delivering quality education have earned her both national and international recognition.

Despite being awarded a three-bedroom house and a scholarship to study abroad as part of her accolades, Ms. Fuseini remains steadfast in her passion for teaching. She has made it clear that her recognition as the best teacher will not lead her to abandon the profession. Instead, she is determined to give back to her community, especially in Kete-Krachi, where she was born and raised.

One of her most notable contributions has been enhancing early childhood education by providing essential resources to seven KG schools. These resources include educational materials, teaching aids, and other necessities designed to support the development of young learners. The beneficiary schools are Gyengyen M/A KG, Gyanekrom M/A KG, Kete RC M/A KG, Kete SDA M/A KG, Kete Shehu Umaru M/A KG, Kete M/A KG, and Krasec M/A KG.

Her methods focus on creating a child-centered learning environment that encourages active participation and engagement. She has developed creative ways to make learning fun and interactive, ensuring that young learners remain motivated and interested.

The initiative of rebranding KG education is expected to have a positive impact on the learning outcomes of young children in Kete-Krachi, setting them up for future success. This effort aligns with broader goals of providing a strong foundation for all Ghanaian children, which has already been emphasized in discussions within the parliamentary framework.

Madam Helen Adwoa Ntoso, Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi West constituency and chairperson of the Gender Ministry in parliament, has expressed support for Ms. Fuseini’s initiative. She noted that the importance of providing a good foundation in KG has been widely discussed, emphasizing that every Ghanaian child needs a strong start in their education.

Mr. Prosper K. Addo, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi West Municipality, commended Miss Fuseini for her efforts in rebranding KG education in the area. He assured her of the Assembly’s support in uplifting the children in the Krachi West Municipality of the Oti Region. Mr. Addo stated that plans are underway to outline visions for providing quality education under his leadership. He further highlighted the government’s full commitment to ensuring a robust education system across the country.

The headteachers of the seven Kindergarten schools that benefited from Miss Fuseini’s donation have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for her generosity. They assured that the donated materials would be used effectively to enhance the learning experience of their pupils. Additionally, they pledged to provide a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of their students.

Ms. Fuseini’s work exemplifies the power of education in transforming lives and communities. Her dedication to early childhood education serves as a reminder of the vital role that educators play in shaping the future of society.
