Instead, the “it” in the title of this movie is something so subtle that Cynthia Winstone (Ashley Greene) doesn’t want to confront it. Cynthia possesses real psychic abilities that allow her to enter someone’s mind, and what she discovered inside a young girl named Riley Harris (Shayelin Martin) it left her absolutely frozen.
There is a being consuming Riley’s body and spirit, and her father, Randall (Shawn Ashmore), seems determined to be unhelpful. The daughter of Cynthia, Jordan (Ellie O’Brien), won’t leave Riley behind as her mother advises. Jordan truly wants to assist, but her approach is so dangerous that it forces Cynthia to become involved again. Whatever they are dealing with, it is stronger than anything Cynthia has encountered before. She was correct to be fearful, and facing it could be the biggest mistake she has ever made.
