NGAWI THOUGHTS OF THE PEOPLE– A female student from Brawijaya University, who is part of Group 51 of the Village Building Student Program (MMD) in 2025, held a socialization and workshop on marketing herbal biopesticide products.

Through this program, students do not only focus on selling products, but also directly socialize with the community about the benefits, working mechanism, and proper usage of Biopest Go!

This activity is specifically focused on

Members of RT 01 and 02 Association (PERSADA) in Ngrayudan Village, Jogorogo District, Ngawi Regency, and took place on Saturday, (26/7/2025).

The program presented is titled “Biopest Go!: Marketing of Plant-Based Biopesticides in Ngrayudan Village.” This initiative was proposed by Early Veramoy, a student from the Tourism study program, Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA), who is a member of MMD Group 51 with Field Supervisor Lecturer Ir. Inggit Kresna Maharsih, S.T., M.Sc.

According to Early, this program is driven by the need to increase activity.

Green agricultural village economy that is independent, healthy, and competitive in Ngrayudan Village.

“Marketing media in Ngrayudan Village, especially PERSADA, is currently not active, although this area has a very diverse potential for micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM). One of them is the product from friends of MMD Universitas Brawijaya Group 51, Athaya Devin, which is a botanical biopesticide,” said Early Veramoy, the head of the socialization and workshop program.

Therefore, the main purpose of this training is to equip PERSADA members to be able to market Nabati biopesticide products more widely through the Shopee platform.

“Amid growing awareness of sustainable agriculture, the ability to introduce affordable and easy-to-use eco-friendly products has become very important. Biopest Go! is not just a product, but also part of the effort to promote healthier and more self-reliant rural agriculture,” added Early.

The implementation methods of the program include socialization on the importance of branding and labeling on product packaging, followed by the importance of using social media in product marketing, then the importance of building partnerships with other stores, and finally the implementation of workshops on creating Shopee accounts and packaging of biopesticides.

Participants are taught how to create a Shopee account effectively, package plant-based biopesticides, and are also taught how to remain consistent in marketing the products.

“The purpose of this program is not only to enable PERSADA to market products, but also to make them smart, responsible, and sustainable entrepreneurs. We equip them with the skills to understand the advantages of botanical biopesticides, how to package product information attractively, as well as targeted marketing strategies. This is an important foundation in building community awareness and creating a market that cares about environmentally friendly agriculture,” Early explained.

Through this program, it is hoped that there will be a tangible impact in promoting enthusiasm in

Circle of PERSADA Village Ngrayudan, especially in terms of promotion and product development
