UDINE, Italy (AP) — Bologna managed to secure a goalless tie against Udinese in the Serie A match on Monday, earning a crucial point in their quest for European qualification next year.

Although Bologna had control of the ball for most of the time, their goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski found himself busier compared to the opposing goalie.

The squad trailed by just one point from securing the top-four Champions League qualification spots. This season marked Bologna’s return to the Champions League after a 60-year absence.

Lazio had the chance to take Bologna’s spot in fifth place but ended up drawing at home against Parma, tying 2-2 after being ahead 2-0.

Lazio’s draw kept them outside the top six European qualifying spots due to goal difference.

In the final 11 minutes, Pedro netted two goals for Lazio, followingJacob Ondrejka’s halftime opener for Parma.

Parme extended its undefeated run to seven matches, with six of those being ties, placing them five points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, in the fight to avoid relegation, Cagliari won at Hellas Verona 2-0 to replace the home side in 15th place and eight points from the drop with four rounds remaining.
