The Falcons issued a statement indicating that 21-year-old Jax Ulbrich “inadvertently stumbled upon the draft contact phone number for Shedeur Sanders from an unlocked iPad during a visit at his parents’ house” and took the number with the intention of making a prank call later.

Although Jax Ulbrich gave the contact information, he was seated next to an unnamed companion who dialed Sanders directly.

The Falcons mentioned that Jeff Ulbrich had no knowledge of the data breach or the prank prior to its occurrence. In their statement, they extended “genuine apologies to Shedeur Sanders and his family.” Additionally, Jax Ulbrich shared an official apology via social media platforms.

Sanders, an outstanding quarterback from Colorado, is the offspring of Buffaloes’ head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, whose NFL journey started with the Atlanta Falcons.

Perhaps Shedeur Sanders was the most prominent.

await the fifth round
On Saturday, he was selected by the Cleveland Browns after receiving a prank call on Friday evening during the draft’s second day as he waited.

During the conversation, Jax Ulbrich’s acquaintance claimed to be New Orleans Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis and informed Sanders that he had been selected by the Saints prior to concluding the call.

It genuinely had no effect on me since it seemed pretty straightforward. I choose not to dwell on negative aspects or get caught up in such matters,” Sanders stated following his draft selection on Saturday. “This is how things are. While I believe these actions were immature, and I certainly consider them as such, everyone occasionally engages in juvenile behavior.

On Sunday, Jax Ulbrich apologized to Sanders for what he described as “a huge error.”

Shedeur, what I did was entirely unforgivable, humiliating, and disgraceful,” he posted on social media. “I deeply regret taking away from your special time; it was both self-centered and immature. It’s unimaginable to be preparing to celebrate one of the most significant moments of your life only to have me ruin that moment with a grave error. Thank you for speaking with me earlier today; I sincerely hope you can muster forgiveness in your heart.

The Falcons likewise extended their apologies to Sanders and his family, stating they “do not approve of such conduct.”

“We are meticulously examining all protocols and making updates as needed to aid in preventing such incidents from occurring again,” stated the Falcons.

The Falcons mentioned that they have been communicating with the NFL and stated their commitment to cooperating completely with any queries received from the NFL league office.
