A Journey Through Love, Loss, and New Beginnings

Camila Morrone is taking a moment to reflect on her four-year relationship with the iconic actor Leonardo DiCaprio. In a recent interview with The Times, she shared her thoughts on how being in the public eye has shaped her life and career.

"When you’re an actor, people will always find things about your personal life," Morrone, 28, said during the interview published on Saturday, January 10. "Perhaps with projects that will change, but it’s something that comes with the territory. Having grown up in Hollywood, I was around it. I was around celebrities. It’s normal [for people] living in LA to see Brad Pitt at the coffee shop, you know?"

Morrone also spoke about Al Pacino, who is "technically not my stepfather, but he was my mom’s partner for a very long time." Pacino, now 85, dated Morrone’s mother, Lucila Solá, from 2008 to 2018. She added, "I knew how ruthless the industry was, and the scrutiny and the spotlight on people in this industry."

The Impact of Gonzo Girl

In August 2022, Us Weekly exclusively confirmed that Morrone and DiCaprio had ended their four-year relationship. At the time, a source revealed that DiCaprio had been attending events and going on vacations without Morrone, including the Care Gala, Unicef Gala, and Saint Tropez. He was also seen spending more time with friends like Tobey Maguire and Jamie Foxx.

Years later, Morrone opened up about how the movie Gonzo Girl, which was filmed around the time of her split from DiCaprio, helped her through a difficult period in her life. Deadline listed the film as "currently in production" on August 22, 2022, just days before Us reported the couple’s breakup.

"It’s hard to put into words what Gonzo Girl means to me – both professionally and personally," Morrone wrote via Instagram in 2025. "Back in June 2020, I got an email for an audition. A film directed by Patricia Arquette, starring Willem Dafoe, based on the novel. Two of my absolute favorite actors. My first thought? There’s no way they’d cast me. Surely, they’d go with a big-name actress."

A Breakthrough Role

She continued, "But to my complete surprise, Patricia took a chance on me. Off a single self-tape. I remember the call from my agents, 8 am the morning of my birthday. I burst into tears. Even though it took many years to come together, P stood by my side through every twist and turn this project took. On a personal level, I shot this film during one of the lowest times in my life. I just couldn’t find my way back. In many ways, this story-and the support of P and Willem – pulled me out."

Morrone concluded her post by noting that she’s "so proud" of the film and "endlessly grateful" for the opportunity to be part of it.

Moving On

One year after separating from Morrone, DiCaprio was spotted with model Vittoria Ceretti. The pair, who have been dating since 2023, were recently spotted on a rare date while shopping in Los Angeles in December 2025. In the photos obtained by TMZ, DiCaprio and Ceretti shared a kiss in a Melrose Place boutique.

Meanwhile, Morrone confirmed her relationship with director Cole Bennett in 2024. Her journey through love, loss, and new beginnings continues to shape her personal and professional life.
