The win was announced on Sunday, Jan. 11, marking a major milestone for the movie and its cast and crew.

A Night of Triumph

The cast and crew of One Battle After Another took to the stage to accept the award, celebrating their hard work and dedication. This victory was part of a larger night of success for the film, which also claimed three other accolades. In addition to the Best Motion Picture award, Anderson received two more trophies: one for Best Director and another for Best Screenplay. Actress Teyana Taylor also added to the celebration with her win for Best Supporting Performance.

The 2026 Golden Globe Awards were hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser and aired live on the CBS Television Network, with streaming available on Paramount+ in the U.S.

A Star-Studded Cast

One Battle After Another, which is currently streaming on HBO Max, features Leonardo DiCaprio in his latest role and marks Anderson’s first film since 2021’s Licorice Pizza. The movie is a sweeping narrative that explores themes of political revolution and father-daughter bonding, starring DiCaprio, Taylor, Regina Hall, Sean Penn, and Chase Infiniti.
