The National Youth Service (NYS) has launched a recruitment initiative for qualified alumni and graduates to apply for overseas employment opportunities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This initiative is open to both male and female applicants who have at least four years of proven hands-on technical experience. Qualifications Required

Candidates interested in applying must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Diploma, Trade Certificate, or Technical Certification in a relevant discipline.
  • Have at least four (4) years of hands-on technical or supervisory experience.
  • Possess strong knowledge of facilities management systems and equipment.
  • Be able to read technical drawings and manuals.
  • Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
  • International exposure or previous experience in the Middle East is an added advantage.
  • Be medically fit with good conduct.
  • Provide a well-documented CV showing work experience.
  • Have a valid travel passport (candidates without one will be supported by the NYS Commandant to fast-track processing at their own cost).
  • Possess a valid police clearance certificate (NYS will assist successful candidates in obtaining one at their own cost).
  • Be between the ages of 22 and 45 years.

Working Conditions and Benefits

Successful applicants will receive a monthly food allowance of Ksh12,338 (AED 350). The company will also provide accommodation, transportation, and uniforms. The joining air ticket is covered, and a return ticket will be provided upon completion of the two-year contract. Visa, medical test, and Emirates ID costs shall be covered by the company.

Working hours are eight hours per day, six days per week. Medical, insurance, and leave benefits will be provided in accordance with UAE Labour Laws. Compensation for injury or death, dispute settlements, and workmen’s compensation will follow UAE Labour Laws. Employees will be entitled to 30 days of annual leave per year. The probationary period is 6 months, and overtime will be paid in accordance with UAE Labour Laws. Employees retain the right to their passports.

How to Apply

The recruitment exercise will be conducted on-site, with the interviewing team from Dubai conducting interviews in Nairobi. The interview dates are set for the 14th and 15th of January 2026, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The venue is Shem Plaza, 5th Floor, Lusaka Road, Nairobi, Kenya.
