Top Performing Schools in the 2025 KCSE Examination

The release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results sparked celebrations across several top-performing schools in Kenya. Among them were Alliance High School and Moi Kabarak, which showcased exceptional academic achievements. The Education CS shared statistics indicating that 1,932 students (0.19%) achieved an overall mean grade A (plain), with National Schools contributing 1,526 of these top grades.

Moi High School – Kabarak: A Record-Breaking Performance

Moi High School – Kabarak, based in Nakuru, delivered a standout performance in the 2025 KCSE. With a mean score of 10.599, the school had 82 out of 406 candidates scoring grade A. The breakdown of grades included 150 A-s, 119 B+, 43 B, and 9 B-. This marked the school’s highest level of performance to date, securing its position among the top institutions in the country.

Alliance High School: A Legacy of Excellence

Alliance High School (AHS), a long-standing educational giant, also performed exceptionally well in the 2025 KCSE. Out of 461 candidates, the school achieved a mean score of 10.4707. The results featured 128 A grades, 141 A- grades, 92 B+ grades, 48 B grades, and 32 B- grades. Additionally, there were 15 C+, 2 C, and 3 C- grades, showcasing a strong academic foundation.
