Aprilia has always carved its own path in the motorcycle world. Their bikes are crafted for riders who seek something rare, uncompromising, and technically advanced. The RSV4 X-GP embodies this spirit. Only 30 units will ever be produced, each priced at €90,000 (approximately $98,000). This price tag alone signals that the X-GP is not a street bike but rather a track-focused machine that brings MotoGP technology to a select few. It marks a decade since the debut of the RS-GP and serves as a direct link between the racing world and private track days.

Cutting-Edge Design and Engineering

Visually, the RSV4 X-GP makes an immediate impression. The wings are not just for aesthetics—they are functional elements designed by Aprilia Racing. From leg wings to tail wings and cornering wings, every component adds downforce during braking and helps keep the bike stable through turns. Even the fairing sides create a ground effect, pulling the bike toward the asphalt when leaned. According to Aprilia, vertical load is five times higher on straights compared to the regular RSV4 and tripled through corners.

The frame retains the familiar aluminum structure, but the rear half introduces a new element: a structural carbon seat support developed in collaboration with PAN Compositi. This isn’t just about weight savings—it’s a key part of the bike’s dynamics, offering sharper feedback from the rear tire. The carbon is layered in a sandwich structure, ensuring both lightness and stiffness, allowing the rider to feel every slip and bite at the back.

Power and Performance

The RSV4 X-GP is powered by a 1,099cc V4 engine producing 238 horsepower and 96.6 pound-feet of torque at 11,750 rpm. The motor is tuned by Aprilia Racing using high-spec parts, including a high-flow Sprint Filter, dedicated intake trumpets, and an SC-Project titanium system that mimics the MotoGP bike with twin pipes. To manage this power, Aprilia uses an STM dry clutch for precision control.

The bike is equipped with Aprilia’s APX ECU, a system that has proven its worth in WorldSBK with Max Biaggi. This allows for individual adjustments to traction control, wheelie mitigation, and engine braking, gear by gear. GPS data logging is also built-in, and each owner receives a laptop loaded with tuning software, enabling them to customize maps, strategies, and analyze laps—all pro-level features.

High-Performance Hardware

The suspension components are taken directly from the racing playbook, featuring Öhlins parts tuned specifically for track use. Front forks are pressurized cartridge units, while the rear shock is a MotoGP-derived TTX model. Braking is equally impressive, with Brembo GP4 MS calipers clamping down on massive 330 mm T-Drive rotors. A nickel-plated caliper handles the rear braking duties.

The wheels are forged magnesium Marchesinis, fitted with Pirelli Superbike slicks in the same spec used in WorldSBK. Additional components include racing switchgear from Jetprime, billet footpegs and levers from Spider, and oversized radiators for improved cooling.

Each RSV4 X-GP is individually numbered and finished in the same RS-GP25 livery as Aprilia’s MotoGP machines.
