AFTER the announcement of the 2024 SPM results, students from the Ayer Hitam constituency in Johor can apply for a monetary reward.
Ling Tian Soon, the assemblyman for Yong Peng, unveiled the plan. This project is a collaborative effort involving his office alongside the constituency office of Ayer Hitam’s Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
This initiative, having been active for many years, upholds a custom of acknowledging local students for their outstanding academic performance in the SPM exams.
“This award acknowledges the diligent efforts of our students,” stated Ling in a press release.
We urge all qualified Ayer Hitam residents who fulfill the requirements to apply for this incentive.
For eligibility, students require at least an A grade in one subject along with credit passes in all remaining subjects.
In the previous year, the program assisted 125 SPM 2023 candidates, compared to 95 beneficiaries the year before, underscoring the continuous dedication towards fostering educational achievement within the constituency.
Ling, who concurrently holds the position of Johor health and unity committee chairman, encouraged suitable applicants to take advantage of this chance and to spread the word to others.
Applicants can submit their applications by filling out an online form which requires them to provide personal information such as their email, residential address, and school name. Additionally, they must attach a copy of their SPM result slip along with their MyKad for verification purposes.
The application deadline is May 10.
Candidates who are interested may submit their applications through the online form available here.
