Making way
I have no idea who Gearbox believes they’re tricking with this.
‘Reverse Delay’ for Borderlands 4
however, there is no possibility that they altered the release date for anything but
GTA 6
As GC mentioned, how significant would an 11-day change be if the game was simply brought forward?
Now they have to revamp all their advertising, cross fingers that both fans and sellers receive the update, and it’s all done without gaining anything from it. It’s impossible to think they made this move out of choice.
As far as I’m concerned, that indicates GTA 6 will release this year, likely landing between late September and early October. This aligns precisely with expectations we’ve had from the start.
Perhaps it’s slightly delayed – I’m unsure about the kind of reach Take-Two believes Borderlands 4 possesses to avoid this issue – but I doubt it will make much difference. When Grand Theft Auto VI releases, nobody will likely be paying attention to Borderlands 4.

No Switch too
I reckon Rockstar must be thrilled with this situation. It looks like not only are all the game developers steering clear, but even Nintendo seems to be giving them space. My suspicion is that Nintendo might opt for a summertime launch because GTA 6 could hit the Switch 2 around then, and they’d want their new console on the market at least three to six months beforehand.
Unless you’re not a fan of GTA, no other game will be enjoyed by you, as there aren’t too many people who dislike it.

GC:
We’re fairly certain that’s not the cause.
Generation Why
I understand it will have been seven years for this generation of consoles by 2027, which aligns with the typical lifespan of a console generation. However, there’s no way that the
PlayStation 6 and the updated Xbox
won’t be considered too soon by everybody.
When the Switch gets replaced, it will have been around for more than eight years, during which time it has delivered an impressive array of outstanding games. Nearly every major series seems to have reached new heights with their entries here. However, the system is beginning to feel its age. The timing for an upgrade couldn’t be better, and based on what I’ve seen from the upcoming Switch 2, this successor appears to be meticulously planned out.
What exactly will the PlayStation 6 achieve? It’s safe to assume that graphic improvements will be minimal, so what else is new? Since we’re not quite at the stage where technology plugs directly into our brains, I struggle to imagine what would warrant such an update. There are also whispers about a portable version, but from what I gather, it seems more like a downsized PlayStation 5 with remote play capabilities rather than something revolutionary.
It isn’t really Sony’s responsibility, yet we seem to have hit the limits of what can be achieved with budget-friendly equipment. Ideally, this should prompt a focus on game development like Nintendo does, but honestly, I’m uncertain about that approach. It doesn’t appear sufficient forSony andMicrosoft, particularly not right now when it comes toSony. My concern lies in expecting additional novelty features, higher costs, and further consumers turning to PCs instead.

Family set
I’ve successfully pre-ordered three Switch 2 units.
Not for any shady scalping purpose. Just one for myself and one for each of my two children.
A different reader noted that Currys was the ‘most straightforward’ for preordering. Simply visit a store and make payment there.
The others I received were from Amazon and ShopTo, and both came through an email stating ‘you have 24 hours to finalize your order’.
I didn’t catch the first ShopTo email, but luckily they sent me a second one.
This experience likely mirrors many remarks regarding the advantages of brick-and-mortar shops. To be clear, Currys proved to be the most straightforward.
It’s all academic now since the pre-orders have sold out.

Sales story
For those looking to purchase Golf Story at a reasonable price, I suggest visiting a site named
Deku Deals
Which monitors the costs of games, whether they’re digital or physical.
This indicates that the current sale on Golf Story is the most affordable it has ever been, yet it regularly goes on sale with similar discounted pricing. Therefore, when you get your hands on a Switch 2, you ought to be able to purchase it during one of these discount periods.
I utilise it to review any new titles I’ve added to my wishlist, checking how frequently they go on sale, the size of discounts typically offered, and determining if it’s worthwhile to wait for a price reduction.

We’ve never come across that site before, but it appears to be quite helpful.

Interactive TV
Hi, first time writer!
I have owned PlayStations since the original PS1 and haven’t used an Xbox since the Xbox 360 days.
I was genuinely delighted to learn that Indiana Jones and Forza Horizon 5 will be available on PlayStation since these were Xbox-exclusive titles I had been eager to try out. Typically, I prefer purchasing physical editions of games; however, I was prepared to go digital after reading your favourable critique for Indiana Jones.
Another game my five-year-old son desired was titled “Little Kitty, Big City,” but it wasn’t available for PlayStation.
To my astonishment, I received a notification on my LG television stating that the Xbox app could now be downloaded. After installing it, I discovered that Game Pass was accessible via this app, eliminating the requirement for an actual Xbox console at £14.99 per month. Given that both Indy and Little Kitty were part of Game Pass, making the decision was easy!
I have the opportunity to enjoy both Forza titles along with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 simply by linking my DualSense controller to the television. So far, everything has functioned perfectly, saving me approximately £150 on purchases intended for my PlayStation.
I’m quite amazed at how well cloud gaming works through the TV and I’m looking forward to seeing its future developments!

Spend to save
Thanks to GC for the guidance in yesterday’s letter. I bought Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, and it didn’t occur to me that there could be a $7.99 upgrade route for the Switch 2. That key piece of info had completely slipped past me.
I purchased the game from Cash Generator rather than CeX as it’s more economical at £34.99. As usual, I’m grateful for this consideration.

Beyond perfection
I struggle to express just how incredibly thrilled I am about Mario Kart World. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe stands as one of only a few titles over the last ten years or so that I would rate as an absolute perfect 10 out of 10 alongside games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Super Mario Odyssey, the Resident Evil 2 remake, and Bayonetta 2. Therefore, my excitement for the upcoming ninth installment in this prestigious franchise has been extremely intense.
I’ve long dreamed of a reboot for the series ever since the previous installment, something along the lines of a Breath of the Wild/Ocarina of Time/Super Mario 64/Prime experience. One feature I have really hoped for is an adventure-style mode to bring substantial variation and depth to the solo gameplay, similar to what we saw with games like Diddy Kong Racing.
However, the game seems to have surpassed this expectation significantly with its Test Drive Unlimited/Forza Horizon/Burnout Paradise inspired driving environments. Based on the previews I’ve seen so far, the feeling of automotive exploration, innovation, and spontaneous racing opportunities exceeds those titles, incorporating a distinctively Nintendo style when navigating the open world.
I’ve noticed some die-hard fans complaining that transitioning to an open-world format might seem out of place and diminish the core appeal of Mario Kart with its circular, diverse tracks. However, honestly, I believe Mario Kart 8 Deluxe pretty much nailed it, so I’m excited about this bold new direction and the immense creativity Nintendo is bringing to World!

How peculiar of Larian to comment on DLC like that.
calling it ‘boring’
Isn’t it up to them to decide if it is or isn’t? This is the first time I’ve ever heard someone say that the idea of downloadable content is now considered positive.

I genuinely hope Blizzard intends to proceed with
Overwatch 3
Because that would be an absolute catastrophe; I’d find it hysterical to witness the aftermath. They botched everything with Overwatch 2, yet they’re persistently pushing forward instead of addressing the issues. What’s needed is returning to the elements that originally made the game fantastic, rather than piling on more unwanted content.
