The 2026 Golden Globes are in full swing, and the night kicked off with a memorable monologue from host Niki Glaser. Early Winners and Surprises

Jean Smart continued her winning streak, securing another award for her performance in “Hacks.” Noah Wyle also added to his accolades, winning Best Actor in a TV Drama for his role as Dr. Robby in “The Pitt” — the same award he won at the 2025 Emmys in September.
Burlington native Amy Poehler made local headlines when she won the first-ever Best Podcast award for her Ringer show “Good Hang with Amy Poehler.” In her speech, Poehler thanked Ringer founder Bill Simmons and let her parents know they could now “watch the Patriots” after her victory.
