The cyclist hurriedly went to the hospital due to chest pains and ended up spending two weeks in intensive cardiac care. She required a permanent pacemaker after experiencing a total heart block, as she mentioned.
Ms Pieton, who hails from Cornwall, has shared that she is still adapting to life with her ‘impaired body’ after being recently diagnosed with Post Vaccination Syndrome (PVS). This condition currently has no known cure.
She told MailOnline: “For more than two years, I wished for death because the symptoms were unbearable.”

Ms Pieton, who currently resides in Séez, located in the French Alps, mentioned that she continues to experience occasional chest pain and shortness of breath. However, she can now walk most days and even rides an electric bike.
Within less than 12 hours of receiving the vaccination, she experienced severe symptoms including intense dizziness, shortness of breath, and chest pain. She was then quickly taken to the hospital where she remained for about two weeks under intensive cardiac care.
The 48-year-old individual had to have a permanent pacemaker implanted after being diagnosed with complete heart block, as she explained.
The cyclist departed from the hospital without the ability to walk unassisted, she mentioned, adding that there were no explanations for what occurred to her.
“The dizziness was nearly intolerable, accompanied by severe pressure in my head (it felt like my skull might burst),” she stated.
‘Persistent tiredness, tingling sensations in my hands and legs, numbness in my feet and face, blurry eyesight, significant muscle deterioration, continuous chest discomfort, and shortness of breath.’
Ms. Pieton was subsequently provided with six months of vestibular rehabilitation, along with six months of ‘visual retraining,’ continuous physical therapy, and muscular rehabilitation, she mentioned.
“My physician along with several specialists examined me, keeping me hospitalized for procedures like lumbar punctures, MRI scans […], and they also attempted numerous medications to assist me,” she explained.
‘After three years, I am adapting to my injured body, experiencing occasional dizziness along with chest pains and shortness of breath, yet committed to living my fullest life and making the most out of every day. Now, I have regained the ability to walk and even ride an electric bike.’
Ms Pieton had previously received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine before getting the Moderna shot, apparently without experiencing any side effects.
“There are times when I am confined to my bed,” she shared, describing her current lifestyle.
