Recently addressed fans questioning why the alien doesn’t sport a dress for camouflage in the forthcoming remake, set to debut on May 23 at cinemas, following the one-eyed being’s gender-fluid getups in the cartoon adaptation.

“I’ve received messages from people asking, ‘Why isn’t Pleakley dressed in a dress?'” Campbell replied when addressing the remarks made.

To provide evidence, Camp presented what seemed to be his initial sketches of Pleakley sporting a curly red hairpiece and a blue gown.

As Agent Pleakley and Dr. Jumba Jookiba, Stitch’s creator. In the animated version of these characters (voiced by Kevin McDonald and David Ogden Stiers), they wear human clothing to fit in. However, their live-action versions seem to utilize some kind of gadgetry that allows them to adopt a human appearance.

Following the release of the preview, it swiftly turned into Disney’s hottest topic.

With 158 million views within the initial 24 hours, the film has set records for the highest first-day ticket pre-sales for a PG-rated movie this year, with projections indicating it could gross around $120 million during the extended Memorial Day holiday weekend.
