NEXEN TYRE Launches ROADIAN ATX in Australia

NEXEN TYRE, a prominent global tyre manufacturer, has officially introduced the ROADIAN ATX in the Australian market. This move is part of the company’s broader strategy to meet the increasing demand for high-inch tyres used on SUVs and Utes in the region.

Designed for Diverse Driving Conditions

The ROADIAN ATX is specifically engineered to deliver exceptional performance both on and off the road. It is tailored to suit Australia’s varied driving environments, which include desert highways, mountainous regions, unpaved outback trails, and coastal roads. The tyre features a wide contact patch and an advanced rubber compound that maximizes mileage and tread durability.

Advanced Off-Road Technologies

Key off-road technologies in the ROADIAN ATX include a 3D kerf design that enhances wet grip and a Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification, which confirms its excellent performance in snowy conditions. Additional features like stone ejectors and side biters help prevent gravel retention and improve traction on rocky surfaces. These innovations give Australian drivers greater confidence and durability when navigating challenging terrains.

Supporting Growth in the Australian Market

The launch of the ROADIAN ATX aligns with NEXEN TYRE’s strategy to cater to the growing preference for larger vehicles in Australia. The tyre is currently supplied as Original Equipment (OE) for iconic Jeep models such as the Wrangler and Gladiator, reinforcing the brand’s credibility and technological leadership globally.

To support its expansion, NEXEN TYRE Australia is strengthening its logistics and sales network across the country. Following the establishment of distribution centres in New South Wales in 2023 and Victoria in 2024, the company plans to open another logistics hub in Queensland during the second half of 2025. These investments aim to improve delivery efficiency and customer service across the eastern economic corridor, covering major cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Enhancing Brand Visibility Through Sports Marketing

NEXEN TYRE Australia is also boosting its brand visibility through strategic sports marketing initiatives. Since October 2024, the company has been the official sponsor of Sydney FC, a top club in Australia’s A-League. This partnership has significantly increased the brand’s exposure through LED signage, stadium displays, and virtual advertising during national broadcast matches and global streaming on Paramount+.

In addition, NEXEN TYRE Australia actively engages with local fans through Sydney FC’s digital channels. This includes social media campaigns and newsletter placements, helping to build stronger connections with Australian consumers.

Commitment to Local Market Needs

John Bosco (Hyeon Suk) Kim, CEO of NEXEN TYRE, emphasized the company’s commitment to understanding and meeting the unique needs of the Australian market. He stated, “We will continue to build a strong local presence through product localization, strategic partnerships, and an enhanced logistics framework.”
