For narratives likeThe Mandalorian and Grogu, Starfighter, and Dawn of the Jedi, they probably won’t relate to the trilogy at all.
The same applies to Dave Filoni’s intended film set inStar Wars‘ New Republic timeline. If anything, this film will resonate withThe Mandalorian and Grogu, but likely nothing else. The only film that might be affected by Kinberg’s trilogy is Rey’s New Jedi Order narrative.
If, in fact, Kinberg’s story continues the Skywalker Saga as Episode X, it’s reasonable to anticipate that characters from the sequel trilogy will be included. Therefore, Rey is a strong possibility. This should not affect her standalone film, which is still in development by Charmeen Obaid-Chinoy, but it would mean this project needs to link toStar Warsnew trilogy and the franchise’s thrilling revival.
