T.K. Carter, best known for his role as Nauls in the 1982 horror film The Thing, has passed away at the age of 69. Fans and colleagues alike have taken to social media to express their grief and pay tribute to the actor’s contributions to film and television.

On television, he played a 3,000-year-old genie in the short-lived sitcom Just Our Luck, co-starring with Richard Gilliland. His most memorable TV role came in 1985 as teacher Mike Fulton in Punky Brewster, a show that remains a favorite among fans of 1980s television.

Over the years, Carter continued to appear in various television series, including The Nanny, NYPD Blue, and Everybody Hates Chris. His more recent work included appearances in How to Get Away with Murder (2016), Ben Affleck’s The Way Back (2020), and the FXX sitcom Dave (2023).

Carter was married to hair stylist Sandra Collier, who passed away in January 2023 after a battle with colon cancer.
