The Presidential Palace has opened opportunities for the public to become part of this celebration through the websitepandang.istanapresiden.go.id. Although the registration page could not be accessed until 8:50 WIB today, the site provides complete information regarding the requirements and procedures for registration that can be followed by interested members of the public.

Deputy Secretary of State, Juri Ardiantoro revealed that the PresidentPrabowoSubianto is committed to ensuring that this year’s independence ceremony is lively and involves more people. Approximately 8,000 people will be invited to attend, with 80 percent of them being members of the general public. The ceremony will also be enlivened by activities such as a carnival and a people’s festival that can be enjoyed by all layers of society.

After the proclamation ceremony, the Presidential Palace will also hold a people’s festival that will serve various dishes, food, and free drinks. Street vendors who usually sell their goods around the Merdeka Palace and the National Monument will participate in providing cuisine that can be enjoyed by the public.

For those who did not get the opportunity to attend the palace, the Independence Day ceremony committee will also hold a people’s festival in the Monas area, Jakarta, on August 17. The event will feature various competitions, stage entertainment, free cuisine from micro and small enterprises (UMKM), as well as fireworks displays to enliven the Independence Day night.

The government has not officially announced when the registration will open, but based on previous years’ experience, registration usually starts about 10 days before the event date, that is, in early to mid-August. To ensure they do not miss it, the public is advised to monitor the websitepandang.istanapresiden.go.idregularly.

General Registration Requirements

Here are the general conditions and registration steps that need to be noted:

  • Indonesian Citizen (minimum age 10 years old)
  • Fill in personal data completely
  • Not bringing a companion, children, or infants
  • Decent clothing, with national or traditional costume options

Registration Steps

  • Open the site pandang.istanapresiden.go.id
  • Click “Sign Up Now” and complete the online form.
  • Upload a photo of yourself and the requested documents, such as ID card and vaccination certificate.
  • Wait for verification via email or WhatsApp.
  • If the request is accepted, you will be directed to collect the physical invitation at the Secretariat. The collection of the invitation must be done in person and with original identification.
