Teyana Taylor is making waves once again, this time at the 2026 Golden Globes. The 35-year-old actress and singer, who recently earned her first-ever Golden Globe nomination for her role in One Battle After Another, turned heads with an eye-catching outfit that left everyone talking.
At the event, which was hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., Teyana opted for a custom black Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown. The dress featured a unique design that wrapped around her neck and draped across her chest, leaving part of her torso exposed. The back of the gown also revealed her upper back and the top of her butt, with a diamond-encrusted bow perfectly placed around her waist.
“The crack is covered in diamonds,” Teyana said in an exclusive interview on Live from E!: Golden Globes 2026. “Expensive, expensive.”
But it wasn’t just the fashion critics who were impressed—Teyana’s kids, Junie, 10, and Rue Rose, 5, gave their own glowing review of the look.
“Those are my two biggest fashion critics,” Teyana continued. “But they was living tonight. They was living tonight.”

Ahead of the ceremony, Teyana shared her excitement about the awards season, noting the advice she received from her costar, Leonardo DiCaprio. She emphasized the importance of pacing herself and enjoying the journey.
“Pacing myself and having fun with it,” the mom of two—who shares Junie, 9, and Rue, 4, with ex-Iman Shumpert—exclusively told E! News in December. “Don’t start going down no rabbit holes, just have fun with it and that’s exactly what I’m doing.”
Teyana also opened up about her character Perfidia in One Battle After Another. As a member of a revolutionary group, Perfidia abandons her husband (played by DiCaprio) and her daughter, making choices that may not be universally agreed upon but are undeniably bold.
“[Perfidia] makes decisions that we may not all agree with, but we can all agree on the fact that she’s unapologetically herself,” she told Variety in an interview published Jan. 3. “And stands 10 toes down on a lot of things that we probably wouldn’t have been able to do at one point.”
“Especially as a woman,” Teyana added, “we’re told we’re too confident, we got to tone it down. Here we see this woman. It’s like ‘No, you won’t quiet me. You won’t set me down. I won’t play house with you.’”
Thoughts on a Potential Sequel
Fans of Teyana’s work might be wondering if there’s potential for a sequel to One Battle After Another. The singer, known for her powerful reaction to the film’s Critics Choice 2026 win for Best Picture, believes director Paul Thomas Anderson has more stories to tell.
“He could have pulled a ‘Wicked!’” she told the outlet. “He could have shot all of it and broken it in two because it’s so much story.”
She also mentioned footage that may have been left on the cutting room floor, suggesting that merging additional scenes could create a compelling follow-up.
“You could literally merge the other pieces, get a few new scenes with me—and then drop it, drop it like a mixtape.”
