Diablo 4
Season 8 kicked off today featuring entirely new boss abilities, Apparition Incursion events, an updated seasonal storyline, and the introduction of the Reliquary battle pass system for acquiring thematic cosmetic items.
What we’re mainly focusing on today is that final feature, as although I’m eager to explore all the novelties in season 8, I feel compelled to share an important warning regarding a bug connected with Diablo 4’s Reliquary system since Blizzard is currently working on resolving this issue.

On social media, the Reliquary system seems to have glitches that result in certain players losing Platinum without receiving any rewards from their purchases.
“A bug in the reliquary could lead to losing your platinum without receiving ANY relics! Please upvote to increase visibility,” states a Reddit post garnering over 700 upvotes and attracting around 200 comments, most recounting comparable issues.
Another user reported paying 1000 units to unlock the three paid reliquaries, yet they still require platinum to be unlocked,” says a post by a Redditor. “Not even the free one will open, ha ha.
I contacted Blizzard, and a representative informed me that “a server hotfix is planned for later today and will resolve the problem with bought Reliquaries failing to display correctly.”
Even though the problem appears to impact only a small group of gamers across different platforms, it may be wise to postpone buying that Reliquary until Blizzard releases a patch to fix the glitch preventing players from receiving their rightful rewards. I will continue updating this article as new information comes in.
Diablo 4 might be released for Nintendo Switch 2, but the series lead notes that “persistent online games on the Switch have faced some difficulties in the past.”
