The kickoff of the 2026 movie schedulemeans we have officially entered the same year as therelease of Avengers: Doomsday. To get everyone excited about it, Marvel has been releasing teaser clips that give us our first glimpses of different characters in this much-anticipated film. Now, those trailers have reached a significant milestone, so Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., and I are having a celebration.
After releasing four preview trailers in recent weeks, Marvel announced that it has received more than 1 billion views on itsDoomsday content. So, in honor of that, Robert Downey Jr., who iscoming back to the MCU as Doctor Doom, shared the clip along with this brief and to-the-point message on Instagram:
One billion views is undeniably impressive, and it fully warrants celebration. The enormous popularity of this film deserves such recognition.
I write this because in the past few weeks, these trailers have shown just how vast the scale of this movie is. First, we gotCaptain America’s teaser first, which verified Chris Evans’ return to the MCU. Following that,Thor’s trailercame out, featuring Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as the God of Thunder.
After the two teasers that featured the Avengers, we received the excitingX-Men trailer, which brought back Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, and James Marsden as Professor X, Magneto, and Cyclops, respectively. Then, the fourthDoomsdayteaser brought us to Wakanda, where we were able to observe Shuri and M’Baku interacting with the Thing from the Fantastic Four.
In general, although the excitement was already present, it grew even more with the release of these teasers for theupcoming Marvel movie. Those viewer numbers confirm it, and it’s worth creating entertaining posts, such as this one Chris Hemsworth shared on hisInstagram story:

I want to bring your focus to the lower left section of the image, specifically the hammer and lightning bolt emojis that Hemsworth utilized. Although he didn’t provide much commentary, I appreciate the fun reference to his role, and the actor’s sharing of the announcement highlights his enthusiasm for his new project.
Besides the high view numbers, speculation has been rampant. Indeed, some fans believe they have solved asecret message in the Doomsday teasersthat links their timestamps to specific instances in Endgamewhich might relate to the narratives of different characters in the latestAvengers movie.
Keeping those ideas in mind, I envision fans will keep watching these hints to try to uncover what’s coming next in Doomsday. I’m sure the number of views on them will continue to increase!
Then, on December 18, we can set aside the previews and speculation and head to the movie theaters to see Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and the rest ofDoomsday’s star-studded ensemble gathers for this much-anticipatedAvengers movie.
