According to FlixPatrol, new information from Netflix indicatesHavocranked #7 on the streamer’s Most Watched Movies and TV Shows in 2025 (January-June). Netflix has not yet officially released the figures for the second half of the year, butHavocA powerful showing at the start of 2025 resulted in 154.9 million hours viewed and attracted 86.9 million viewers. Themovie was made available on NetflixOn April 25, indicating that it lacked data for almost four of those six months, which makes its #7 position even more remarkable.

Havoc features Hardy as Patrick Walker, a disillusioned detective navigating the criminal underworld that endangers his city. Following a failed drug transaction, Walker becomes the target of some of the city’s most feared organizations, such as a criminal syndicate, a corrupt politician, and even his own colleagues in law enforcement.

Walker soon becomes involved in rescuing a politician’s separated son, who is also connected to the drug transaction, and as Walker investigates further, a complex network of corruption and conspiracy starts to come to light. Alongside Hardy,Havoc also stars Timothy Olyphant, Forest Whitaker, Jessie Mei Li (Shadow and Bone) and Justin Cornwell (The Umbrella Academy), among others.

News of HavocBeing among the top viewed films on Netflix in 2025 might surprise those who watched the movie. It received positive feedback from critics and holds a 64% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes, butviewers generally criticized the movie. Out of more than 1,000 user reviews, its approval score on the review aggregator stands at just 35%.

One review on Rotten Tomatoes humorously noted that Havoc “meets the title’s expectations,” while stating it included “pointless extreme violence with nothing positive to offer.” Another viewer concurred, describing it as “5% excitement and 95% bloodshed.”

Nonetheless, critics found the movie’s action scenes as a standout feature. “Havocmay seem like a rehash of director Gareth Evans’ previous successes, but, for fans who love his fluid style, the formula remains effective,” Rotten Tomatoes’ consensus states.

Havocwasn’t the sole successful project that Hardy managed to complete in 2025. The actor also appeared in Paramount+’shugely popular MobLand, where he portrayed Harry Da Souza — a fixer for a criminal organization. As the group he is affiliated with comes into conflict with another gang, the consequences go beyond their illegal operations. Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Paddy Considine also appeared in the show, which debuted on March 30, 2025.

MobLandquickly emerged as one of the standout successes of the year, receiving a 76% positive score on Rotten Tomatoes for its initial season. Reviewers commended Hardy for his role as the series’ central figure, describing it as a “sophisticated” and “unforgettable” portrayal. In June 2025, it wasrenewed for a second season, which currently does not have a scheduled release date.
