The stars of film and TV gathered in Los Angeles Sunday for the glittering 2026 Golden Globes ceremony. The event celebrated the best in entertainment, with a mix of returning favorites and new categories making their debut.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and Netflix hit Adolescence were the big winners on the night, earning four trophies apiece. However, Anderson’s star Leonardo DiCaprio was pipped by Timothée Chalamet, who won for Marty Supreme, while Brazilian actor Wagner Moura was the surprise winner in the drama category for his role in the Portuguese-language film, The Secret Agent.

This year also saw the introduction of a podcast category, with nominees drawn from the list of the 25 most-listened-to podcasts, including Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, and SmartLess. It was Poehler, in the end, who beat her ex-husband, Will Arnett (of Smartless), to win the award.

Nikki Glaser returned after making her debut as the awards’ first-ever solo female host last year. She kicked off with jokes about the A-listers in attendance and didn’t spare broadcaster CBS.
