KAMLOOPS — The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Kamloops, British Columbia, report that they are currently examining a location where fragments of human remains are dispersed throughout a countryside estate.
The police have indicated that the Southeast District Major Crime Unit has been summoned to Pendleton Creek, located west of Kamloops, following the discovery of the remains.
It is mentioned that investigators are “uncertain about where the fragmented body parts came from.”
The police indicate that they are handling the death as a suspicious case.
Staff Sergeant Jason Smart indicates that they are at the beginning phase of their inquiry and are seeking individuals who might have information about how the individual passed away or how the remains ended up there.
He mentions that efforts persist to establish the deceased person’s identity and understand how the death occurred.
