There’s a great deal that happens during the filming of a movie, much of which remains unseen by viewers, and Kevin Hart and other celebrities can confirm this. Action film sets, such as the one for theupcoming Jumanji 4, can be particularly challenging. Extended days and night filming are common, and celebrities might even shoot the same action scenes up to 10 times, which seems exhausting. Speaking of that, Hart’s collection of photos showing him sleeping on set humorously highlights just how demanding film sets can be.
The last part in theJumanji franchise is finally in production, exactly 30 years following the initial oneJumanji premiered. With that, the show’s current cast has been assembled for one final adventure. Although I’m excited to see Jack Black, Karen Gillian, Dwayne Johnson, and Kevin Hart back together, I believe it might be wise for the producers to end this series. Based on a recent Instagram post featuring Hart humorously asleep in costume during filming, I’m not certain how much longer he can handle these sets:
I was just joking, of course, since the star’s need for sleep likely isn’t related to age. The comedian isn’t that old, he’s only 46.Action and adventure movies are truly that intense., even if he is notperforming any of the significant stuntshimself. The Rock shared onFacebookthat they were working 12 to 14 hour days during the filming of the firstJumanji, filming mostly outside. So, even though Nikki Glaser recently made a Golden Globe comment aboutJumanjibeing “one step further,” I believe theUpsideThe actor has demonstrated that it truly is.
Some of the fatigue comes from movies likeJumanji, where they primarily shoot on location, actors reside in a trailer for a few months. They spend most of their days (and nights) filming, so the set becomes their place to eat, celebrate major milestonesand, yes, in Kevin Hart’s case, occasionally take short naps.
Throughout those extended days on a movie set such asJumanji‘S, a star must remain in costume, always prepared to film at a moment’s notice, which is why Hart sleeps upright in his character’s iconic safari scout attire. Perhaps it’s actually a benefit that he can fall asleep instantly, anywhere, at any time. I can’t fault them for grabbing some sleep wherever they can; I’d be doing the same.
The demanding production timeline ultimately proves worthwhile, asJumanjiMovies are extremely popular. Additionally, they are truly some of my favorite comedy films.Central Intelligenceintroduced us to the film duo that is The Rock and Kevin Hart, but in my view,Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle proved them an iconic acting duo. Add Jack Black and Karen Gillan, and I’m all in.
I’m excited to see the entire cast reunited, andsee their tribute to Robin Williams, when Jumanji 4 finally hits the 2026 movie schedulelater this year. In the interim, let’s just pray that as production progresses, Kevin Hart and the rest have sufficient time to take some breaks.
