- One UI 8 could introduce a new Galaxy AI feature designed to sum up videos for users.
- Similar to AI-generated summaries found on YouTube, this tool would provide explanations for both the visual elements and spoken content within a given video.
Recently, there have been numerous leaks regarding One UI 8, and this time we’ve gotten wind of a new AI feature that the company is apparently developing (initially noticed by

).
As per the report, they stumbled upon an AI Video Summarizer tool during their thorough exploration of the supposed updated interface. This discovery came about as they tinkered with various options within a concealed debugging section of the application.
The website shared a video demonstrating how this tool operates. Similar to YouTube’s video highlights, the software examines the clip for spoken content, visual elements, and subtitles. With assistance from Galaxy AI, it aims to provide viewers with an overview of the key topics covered within the video, presented as “a well-structured list.”

The report further indicates that this tool can also be applied to various applications and websites that broadcast visual material. Currently, Samsung plans to provide summaries for the titles and descriptions of videos along with links to similar content available on the same webpage. Nonetheless, following updates such as One UI 8 alongside a revamped version of Samsung Internet, it appears that the capability to narrate extensive video segments may soon become available too.
While testing this out, the publication found that the tool generated an extremely accurate summary of their YouTube video, as seen in the screenshot above. It summarized all the key points within the video in the form of bullets. And below the list are two options that allow users to either copy or translate the summary.
“Samantha informed us that the ‘Detailed’ feature for summaries within Galaxy AI isn’t functional with the present version of the video tool,” SammyGuru mentioned.
Finally, users who are intrigued can try out this summarization tool by following the detailed steps provided in the publication.
