Introducing Amanda Frances

Amanda Frances has become one of the latest additions to Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As fans get to know her better, she has gradually shared more about her personal life and past experiences. However, there is one deeply personal story that she has not yet discussed on the show: the tragic loss of her son, Zion.

The Tragic Loss of Zion

In 2022, Amanda Frances faced an unimaginable tragedy when her son, Zion, passed away just four days after his birth. Zion and his twin brother, Canaan, were born prematurely at 29 weeks and two days into the pregnancy. From the moment they were born, both were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Three and a half days after their birth, Amanda and her then-fiancé, Eddie Tsivislavsky, received a phone call from doctors that would change their lives forever. In an Instagram post, Amanda shared that she “knew” it wasn’t good news. Despite the family’s efforts to fight for Zion’s life, he did not survive.

The Cause of Death

Zion died from a brain hemorrhage the following day. Amanda described the heart-wrenching experience in her social media post, writing, “While we chose to fight, pray, demand and advocate for him with everything we had… He was not meant to be here.” She added, “He was not meant to be mine any longer in this life. I fought, but I knew this.”

Doctors attempted to save Zion through blood transfusions, CPR, and even shocking his heart. Eddie stayed up all night singing to his son, and the family was able to spend an additional 24 hours with him before he passed away.

Canaan, the other twin, spent 68 days in the NICU before the family could finally bring him home.

Amanda Frances’ Family Life

Despite the pain of losing Zion, Amanda and Eddie continued their journey as parents. In 2023, the couple welcomed a baby daughter named Delilah, giving Canaan a little sister. This marked another chapter in their family life.

Amanda is also a stepmother to Eddie’s children, Liam and Shoshana, from a previous relationship. When she met Eddie in 2018, Liam and Shoshana were two and three-and-a-half years old, respectively. Amanda considers them her own and they affectionately call her “Smama.”

During an episode of RHOBH, Amanda mentioned that she has four children and that she is raising Eddie’s older kids. After the episode aired, she shared a text message exchange with Liam and Shoshana’s mother, in which she warned the woman about what she would be saying on TV. The ex-partner responded with gratitude, stating, “You are raising our children, and I’m very grateful you’re such an attuned and a wonderful step mom. … whatever drama they wanna try to create, I mean, good luck cause we’re f**king solid.”

She also added, “Continue building your f**king empire. Our kids are happy and thriving, and you’re a big part of that.”

A New Chapter

As Amanda continues to navigate life on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her journey remains a powerful reminder of resilience, love, and the strength it takes to face life’s greatest challenges. Her story, while deeply personal, offers insight into the complexities of family, loss, and the enduring bonds that connect us all.
