Roy, originally from Co Cork, serves as the CEO of SES-imagotag plc in the UK and Ireland.
He possesses a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance, a Diploma in Stockbroking, and a Diploma in International Sales.
Roy established a company called SolarPrint that focuses on creating self-powered indoor sensors using dye-sensitised solar cell technology.
He subsequently established MarketHub Technologies Limited in 2013, which was later purchased by the French digital pricing firm SES-imagotag plc.
Tying the knot
Angela and Roy got married during an open-air ceremony in Co Wicklow in June 2014.
A number of the couple’s family members and friends were present at the wedding, including former Miss World Rosanna Davison and her husband Wes Quirke.
Angela’s wedding dress was somewhat unconventional, as it included a standard bridal train, but its bodice was adorned with gold lace.
The Strictly starIt was recently disclosed that she had another dress six days prior to her and Roy’s wedding, but she cut it in two and spent two days wandering through Dublin “trying to find fabric and a seamstress to put it back together.”

Roy and Angela have two young daughters, named Ruby and Marnie.
Angela welcomed Ruby into the world on February 25, 2018, but kept the information private until August of the same year. During that period, the loving young mother referred to her daughter as a tiny ‘peach’.
Marnie joined the family in February 2022, with Angela commenting at that time: ‘Chapped lips and chapped nips can only indicate one thing… our little lady has arrived! We are completely smitten.’

Earlier, when discussing the topic of starting a family, the television host stated: ‘To be honest, I was always scared. I had this crazy idea that it would put an end to my career. I was frightened that all the work I had done would disappear or become too difficult to handle.’
I am extremely fortunate to have a husband who is very involved – who fully supports me. It can be tough at times and balancing everything is challenging, but I feel incredibly lucky.
Angela also shared some valuable guidance: ‘I’m not sure there’s ever a perfect moment, but I believe meaningful, truthful discussions about the realities of having a family are essential beforehand. However, it’s also magical and incredibly rewarding in ways I couldn’t have imagined.’

Angela and Roy strongly support each other’s projects. Angela has been going through a tough period lately,appearing in The Celebrity Apprentice and her This Morning hosting debut.
In January, the television personality revealed she was leaving Virgin Radio UK, which hasrumors have been spreading that she will take over from Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly to host Strictly Come Dancing.
