Danny Boyle Reveals 28 Years Later 3 Plans

Filmmaker Danny Boylehas hinted at the newly confirmed third installment of the 28 Years Later trilogy, continuing from the ‘delight’ of28 Years Later: The Temple of Bones’s ending.

The daring and gruesome new horror filmhighlighted a group of individuals resembling Jimmy Savileled by the satanist Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) as the franchise explored further into what remained of humanity after the Rage Virus spread across the British Isles.

*Spoilers ahead for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple*

Their involvement turns The Bone Temple into a notably bleak and cruel experience, but in the end, the movie concludes on a more positive note when Spike (Alfie Williams) and Jimmy Ink/Kelly (Erin Kellyman) manage to flee the cult whenRalph FiennesDr. Ian Kelson outsmarted Crystal – but lost his life in the process.

Abandoning Crystal, nailed upside down with a group of Infected preparing to end him, the movie transitions to a secluded cabin whereCillian MurphyA bike courier named Jim, from the original 2002 film 28 Days Later, is residing with his daughter while preparing a history test for her.

They then see Spike and Kelly through the window, sprinting across the fields while being chased by a group of Infected, and rush outside with their gear, promising to assist.

Ahead of the launch of The Bone Temple, which wasshot simultaneously with 28 Years Later, it was confirmed that Boyle and Alex Garland – who directed and wrote 28 Days Later respectively, and later returned last year for 28 Years Later – were proceeding with 28 Years Later Part 3.

Talking about what fans can look forward to in the film that hasn’t been named yet, Boyle saidLive Video Streaming of a Film OnlineAt the Bone Temple’s opening: ‘I believe the casting is clear from the end of this one. You kind of think, oh right, I get it! But that’s wonderful and enjoyable.’

And it’s unusual to conclude a horror movie with joy, but you end up feeling happy because you think, oh, there will be another one, right? And he [Murphy] might appear in it.

The filmmaker has already verified Murphy’s comeback in the event that 28 Years Later Part 3 gets approved, noting that he would have a short appearance in The Bone Temple, which is being directed by Nia DaCosta, and then take on a leading role for the concluding movie.

Although we have observed the primary storylines from 28 Days Later and 28 Years Later intersect, this third film is expected to further explore and expand upon them.Alpha Samson’s (Chi Lewis-Parry)the journey toward a cure, along with reintroducing Spike’s father Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), not to mention the infant born to the Infected female that Spike abandoned on the doorstep of his island community in 28 Years Later, and the expectant woman who successfully fled the Jimmys – and Spike – from the barn this time.

Numerous critics and fans have pointed out the surprising nature of The Bone Temple, which stands in stark contrast to 28 Years Later – and this was one of the reasons Boyle was pleased to hand over the director’s role to DaCosta.

Remembering her presentation, he said to Live Streaming Movie Film Online: ‘She said, “I’m not going to make a Danny Boyle film, you know.” That was a very significant moment because you wonder, well what’s wrong with a Danny Boyle film? But then you realize, oh no, wait a second, sheshould make her own film.

And she has—despite her young age—this confidence that she knows she should take the lead and create her own film. That’s precisely what we needed because we’re in the process, hopefully, of producing three films, so passing on part of the responsibility to someone else with a somewhat different perspective—especially a female perspective—is a wise move. A smart choice.

Alfie Williams, the central figure of the franchise’s revival as Spike, also valued DaCosta bringing a new perspective after the opportunity to collaborate with Boyle.

It was amazing [with] Nia, as she was experiencing it with a fresh viewpoint, entering this project with many ideas and a lot of creative experiments she wanted to explore,’ said the 15-year-old during an interview on the red carpet for Live Streaming Movie Film Online. ‘Danny had a clear vision of what he wanted, having worked on this series for a long time.

However, both provided him with an exceptional experience.

I deeply appreciate the opportunity to witness these new directors and their varied approaches.

Lewis-Parry was also excited to collaborate with two distinct directors on the movies, and to spend additional time with DaCosta as Samson took on greater importance.

‘Nia is incredibly courageous because she has taken something that was already well-established. She has shown respect and honor for it but said I’m going to do it my way – and just look at what she has achieved!’ he marveled.during a promotional interview with Live Streaming Movie Film Online the day before the London premiere.

I had a conversation with her yesterday and I simply mentioned, wow, you should be really proud. [They have] two distinct styles, they come from different generations.

I spent more time with Nia since Samson is clearly more prominent in this movie, but I’m truly fortunate to have had the chance to collaborate with Danny and Nia DaCosta. I’m a man filled with thanks and I’m extremely proud.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is currently showing in theatres.
