While attending the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards, Seymour shared with Live Streaming Movie Film Online about an exceptional moment from the beginning of her career that she recently recalled while working on herupcoming autobiography.
“I’ve recently begun working on my autobiography, and I have countless stories and remarkable events that keep me wondering, ‘How did all of that actually happen to me?’” Seymour says exclusively to Live Streaming Movie Film Online.
A specific recollection that emerged was the time the British actress arrived in Los Angeles for the first time, when everything still seemed fresh and a bit dreamlike.
“I arrived in Hollywood by plane, naturally, and as I was seated in first class, the flight attendant told me, ‘Mr. Wayne would like you to have dinner with him,’” Seymour remembers.
The individual known as Mr. Wayne was indeedJohn Wayne, the iconic American performer whose towering career made him one of the most recognizable figures of classic Hollywood Westerns, such asRio Bravo.
“Who arrives in Hollywood as a young actress and ends up sitting in a dining area on a large jet bound for Los Angeles, next to John Wayne?” she says, still amazed by the situation.
That feeling of astonishment has continued as Seymour reviews recollections that have not yet been included in the pages of her upcoming book.
“I’m trying to decide what to do with all the content I couldn’t include in the book,” she acknowledges, explaining the difficulty of summarizing a life full of numerous memories into one story.
I’m genuinely attempting to think beyond conventional boundaries,” she adds. “I’m reflecting as I go, aiming to ensure the book is exceptional and serves a meaningful purpose, but I’m also trying to determine what to do with the remaining stories.
Some of those tales include encounters with icons such asMae Westand Gloria Swanson, who once requested Seymour to portray her if a movie were ever made about her life.
Some individuals made a more significant artistic impact, such as when she first began her career and met actor and director Lawrence Olivier.
I recall him sharing tales about his school days, and then the very next day, I was on the set watching him actually portray that character,” Seymour says to Live Streaming Movie Film Online. “That was incredible.
Seymour’s memoir will not be the first instance where she has expressed her thoughts through writing.
Throughout the years, she has developed a diverse writing career that encompasses self-help books such asJane Seymour’s Handbook for a Romantic Life and the parenting book Twins Together: Raising Two at Once, written in collaboration with Pamela Patrick Novotny.
After greeting twin sons in 1995 withthen-husband James Keach, she also co-authored several children’s books with him in the early 2000s, broadening her narrative work beyond television.
